
Pistol Fundamentals Course
The Pistol Fundamentals Course is designed for beginners and new gun owners looking to establish safe and effective handgun skills. This course provides a strong foundation in pistol handling, safety, and marksmanship through a combination of classroom instruction and live-fire training.
Students will learn how to safely operate a pistol, understand its parts and functions, and apply the core fundamentals of shooting. Emphasis is placed on proper grip, stance, trigger control, and building confidence through structured drills.
Course Topics Include:
• Pistol safety and range protocols
• Parts and functions of a pistol
• Loading, unloading, and clearing procedures
• Proper grip, stance, and sight alignment
• Trigger control and follow-through
• Fundamentals of marksmanship
• Introduction to drawing from the holster (if applicable)
• Live fire drills to reinforce skills
Recommended Equipment / What to Bring:
• Pistol with minimum of 3 magazines (rental options available upon request)
• Holster (outside-the-waistband preferred)
• Eye and ear protection
• Minimum of 200 rounds of pistol ammunition
• Long sleeves or appropriate range attire
• Bug spray, sunblock, and hydration (water, electrolytes,
