
EDC Pistol Course
This course is designed to identify deficiencies and enhance the skill level of all shooters novice to advanced specifically when deploying a pistol from concealment.
We do not believe in levels when it comes to self-defense there is only the moment and your performance under pressure. That’s why this course is built on a foundation of solid fundamentals, with a focus on real-world application for the everyday carrier.
Students will gain a deeper understanding of Florida laws surrounding concealed carry, including the legal use of force and deadly force. The course will also cover practical techniques for drawing from concealment, shooting with discretion and accountability, and improving concealment presentation under stress.
Course Topics Include:
• Florida Statutes related to Use of Force and Deadly Force:
• F.S.S. 776.012, 776.013, and 776.08
• Constitutional Carry: what it is, what it isn’t, and your legal responsibilities
• Concealed carry setup and gear considerations
• Drawing and engaging from various concealment positions
• Discretionary shooting and threat identification
• Movement, concealment, and situational control
• Fundamentals reinforcement under concealment stress
Recommended Equipment / What to Bring:
• Concealed carry pistol with minimum of 3 magazines
• Concealment holster (quality IWB or AIWB strongly recommended)
• Sturdy gun belt
• Eye and ear protection
• Minimum of 300 rounds of pistol ammunition
• Long sleeves or appropriate range attire
• Bug spray, sunblock, and hydration (water, electrolytes, etc.)
Note: This course requires safe and consistent draw-from-concealment ability. If unsure, we recommend completing a Pistol Fundamentals Course beforehand. Rental gear may be available upon request.
