CQB Force-On-Force
This course introduces students to the principles of Close Quarters Battle (CQB), where confined environments demand split-second decision-making and precise tactics. In CQB, physical confrontation is expected, and success depends on teamwork, communication, and the proper application of clearing techniques.
Through structured force-on-force scenarios, participants will apply CQB principles using non-lethal training weapons in realistic settings. This course emphasizes tactics over speed, critical thinking, and understanding the flow of structures rather than just clearing them aggressively.
Course Topics Include:
• Fundamentals of room clearing (single and two-man entries)
• Threshold evaluation and door control
• “Laser Rule” and muzzle awareness
• Fatal funnels and angles of exposure
• Greatest unknown vs. path of least resistance
• Prioritization of threats and unknowns
• Door placement, hallway tactics, and structure navigation
• Communication, spacing, and team roles under stress
• Live scenario-based drills using non-lethal training munitions
Recommended Equipment / What to Bring:
• Gloves and protective clothing (long sleeves and pants required)
• Hydration (water, electrolytes, etc.)
• Bug spray and sunblock (for outdoor segments)
All non-lethal training weapons and safety equipment will be provided unless otherwise stated. Students are welcome to bring personal training gear (blue gun, sim gun, etc.) if pre-approved.
